MassOpera is thrilled to present our first Trivia Cabaret of 2019 in celebration of Pride Week in Boston.  We are partnering with Club Café to combine the forces of their delicious Sunday brunch buffet and our boozey Trivia Cabaret for a Pride event unlike any other!  Eat, drink, trivia, and listen to the best singers in Boston.

 Caitlin Martin (JASS BIANCHI) was born on September 12, 1984. Bianchi is an award-winning rapper, songwriter, producer, activist, and entrepreneur. Bianchi first released her “Poetic Authority”​ mixtape in 2008, receiving recognition in local and overseas markets. Since then, Bianchi has toured throughout the East Coast, opening for Cormega, and Ladi6. In 2019, Los Angeles based Artemis Film Festival honored Bianchi with the “Best Artist”​ award for her song “One of the Boys.”​

Bio

 Melissa Fine is an 18 year old singer-songwriter out of Boston, MA.  She experiments with intricate layering and harmonies, a technique that brings cohesion to her diverse writing style. Her passion for music reaches further than the stage. She is an advocate for the local LGBTQIA community. Her songs draw inspiration from her struggles with friendship, identity, and confidence as well as her accomplishments.

 Dean FM, born Dean-Fraser Milford is a Boston Massachusetts based effeminate gay rapper, entertainer and actor. Known for blending a sonic palette of fast paced rhythms, colorful melodies and eccentric topics, Dean FM represents awareness, bravery and equality.  In July 2019, Dean will be releasing his single “Bottom Bit” off of the SISSY EP. In 2016, Dean released his debut EP “Watch It”, which received local and national coverage.

Bio

 Tenor Wes Hunter has been praised for his “drama, heart, and shining tone.” Recent credits include Count Ory in Rossini’s Le Comte Ory, Gastone in Verdi’s La Traviata, and Oronte in Handel’s Alcina. Other credits include Laurie in Adamo’s Little Women, Lindoro in Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri, and the premiere of Eugene in Leo Hurley’s The Body Politic. Hunter has also performed as a soloist in concert repertoire across the east coast including Mozart’s Mass in C minor and Requiem, Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music, Handel’s Messiah, Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb, and Schubert’s Mass in G.

 Lori L’Italien – MO alumn is thrilled to celebrate PRIDE with MO. Since last being seen in MO’s The Magic Flute and L’Enfant et les Sortileges, Lori has transitioned to teaching and performing musical theatre. She serves as a Musical Theatre Voice teacher at The Boston Conservatory and maintains a busy private studio and performance career. Favorite roles include: Adelaide (Guys and Dolls), Cleo (Most Happy Fella), Lisa (A New Brain), Lucille (Parade) and Fantine (Les Mis.) Coming up next: catch Lori as Magenta in Rocky Horror this October at The BCA with Moonbox Productions. Love and thanks to her husband.

 Massachusetts native Abigail Whitney Smith, soprano, is quickly gaining recognition as a dynamic singing actress. Abigail recently appeared with Boston Lyric Opera in their production of The Handmaid’s Tale. Her ’17-’18 season included debuts with Seaglass Theater Company (A Concord Christmas), Mass Opera (The Beautiful Bridegroom), and OperaHub (Divas). Abigail received her MM in Opera Performance from Binghamton University. With her graduate studies, she was also a Resident Artist with Tri-Cities Opera. Abigail received her BM in Vocal Performance from Boston University. Ms. Smith is currently based in the Boston area where she studies with Dr. Rebecca Folsom.
